Dungeoneering, more commonly referred to as simply “exploration”, is the profession of entering Mystery Dungeons for a living.
Guilds are built entirely around the practice of exploration, and as such any individual Explorer is usually a member or a graduate of a local Guild, such as the Custodian Guild.
Exploration is considered the primary job which makes the world spin. Exploration is crucial to the safety and success of any town and, to an extent, civilization as a whole. Explorers catalog Mystery Dungeons as they appear, safely rescue both Pokémon and personal belongings which have been lost within a Mystery Dungeon, and are the source of nearly all Poké in circulation. In addition, due to the experience in battle necessary for the job Explorers often act as law enforcement, both in terms of stopping crimes in progress and apprehending known outlaws.
