The primary job of Vanguard Branch members is to discover, catalog, and conquer Mystery Dungeons for the sake of expansion. It is lead by Branch Leader Chesnaught.
Vanguard Branch members prioritize brute strength and the ability to push deep into dungeons. Skilled exploration teams will typically be adept in wilderness survival in a variety of environments and make a greater point of always having both the necessary supplies and knowledge prepared to travel long-term outside of civilized and settled areas. Rather than attempt to negotiate with Wild Pokemon, the Vanguard Branch is considered to mostly secure unexplored areas by simply scaring them off.
