Poké are solid golden coins which are spontaneously produced by Mystery Dungeons or the use of certain moves. Despite their appearance Poké are not actually made from metal and, while extremely hard, will shatter and disappear if damaged. Some researchers believe them to be manifestations of solid Aura.
Due to the fact that the only known method to acquire large amounts of Poké is to retrieve it from within Mystery Dungeons, Poké are considered a precious resource and function as the world’s one and only universal currency.
